An anthropological introduction to YouTube (via mwesch)
This lecture by Michael Wesch presented at the Library of Congress actually gave me a new appreciation for YouTube. And I actually learned a decent amount about anthropology and sociology. I doubt many of you will watch it as it’s 55 minutes long. But still, if you’ve got the time, check it out.
And it just strikes me as so unethical that this ad is, like, endorsing the body-shredding of a perfectly adorable stocky Asian dude. It’s not like that type is everywhere. No, ridding the earth of one is like shooting an endangered species. It’s just. Wrong. (via fourfour: “Before” is hotter than “After”)
HAHA. Straight from Rich’s mouth, stocky asian guys are adorable! FYI the link is filled with pictures of half naked guys. So uh, be forewarned.
